For almost 60 years, Golf Magazine has been one of the most respected and widely read sports publications in print and online. In 2018, entrepreneur, philanthropist and golf fanatic, Howard Milstein acquired the magazine with the intent of reinvigorating the brand for a new generation of players young and old.
Spark was brought in by Golf’s technology partner, Product Lab to adapt award-winning print designer, David Curcurito’s new editorial look and feel for digital, while also designing a next-generation vision for connecting content, commerce, product configuration, and personalization for the brand.
Aligned the new digital aesthetic fully with the redesigned magazine creating total brand consistency
Delivered rich templates and future-state prototypes for sponsored tournament leaderboards and special coverage social media concepts
Created an integrated e-commerce shop with content-aware modules for editorial embeds
Designed a fully responsive custom club configuration and purchase experience
Produced interaction models and visual design specs for curated shopping within video content
Coordinated with and delivered quality assurance defect and bug reports across multiple development teams and timezones
