Multi-faceted product selection
When Larkspur and Hawk first met with Spark, they needed an overall site-wide update and a solution to a complex problem on their product pages. Their unique permutations of color, shapes, and style made the existing product display and swatch selection challenging for the merchandising team and customers.
Process
Making the cut with clarity
Spark’s development team conducted exhaustive research into existing Shopify apps that might be able to handle such complicated swatching requirements but concluded building on top of those would risk site performance and stability. Ultimately, the team determined the solution needed to be custom, and in close collaboration with Larkspur & Hawk, we designed and implemented a one-of-a-kind product and logic matrix.
Solution
A crown jewel for the business
Spark implemented a fully custom, lightweight, and extensible solution that was intuitive for customers and, as important, simple to control for the Larkspur & Hawk content team. In addition, Spark ensured that availability was accurately represented for the site across all product elements (a component that was previously missing).
