E-commerce platforms come with robust features, but overly standardized page templates and interaction patterns. The By Malene Birger brand and apparel needed more than an out-of-the-box experience to create a seamless brand experience as their customers moved from digital environments to physical environments. Spark was tasked with translating utilitarian ecommerce features and functionality into a sophisticated and engaging luxury shopping experience.
Up to 70% of luxury buyers look for information from a website or app along their path to purchase, presenting brands with a great opportunity to engage these shoppers by providing them with online inspiration.

What We Did
With luxury shoppers exhibiting strong cross-device shopping behaviors, seamless mobile experiences are needed to meet consumer expectations. With that in mind, Spark designed a fully responsive online store giving customers the opportunity to shop anywhere and at any time. The design incorporated white space, clean typography and a neutral palette to focus the visitor’s attention on the exquisite product and brand imagery. The Spark team also selected rich UI patterns, animations and unique page layouts to further differentiate the By Malene Birger store from others in the market.
