Redesigned Product Configuration Tool launches!
Spark is excited to announce the launch of Xylem’s newly redesigned and re-architected, Xylect application!
Spark collaborated closely with a small and passionate client team and their development vendor to enhance this product configuration tool so that engineers and consultants could more easily select and configure industrial pumps.
There was no arguing that this particular application was one of the most robust and complex we have had the opportunity to work on! Spark’s initial discovery phase included usability testing to identify critical usability issues within the existing tool, as well as, global stakeholder interviews to capture requirements for the redesign. We then conducted innovation and co-design workshops with the client, during which rapid prototypes were created, evaluated and revised. As the design team transitioned from wireframes to visual design, we focused on designing a flexible UI pattern library before moving into page designs.
Enhanced features include:
- • Faster, more intuitive navigation and streamlined workflow
- • Superior search functionality delivering more accurate results
- • Enlarged graph size and new full screen mode
- • Improved analysis capabilities
- • Enhanced ‘Projects’ section for review of engineering projects
We’re excited that both our client and their users are pleased with the end result! Now Spark is working on additional product configuration tools for Xylem and we couldn’t be more excited about this challenging work!
“Xylect is now one of the most advanced and comprehensive pump selection and analysis tools on the pump market, delivering Xylem’s expertise directly to our customers and partners simply, across a range of platforms. We’ve listened closely to our customers around the world to develop a highly intuitive, smart tool that makes their day-to-day job easier. The result is a significantly enhanced Xylect experience designed to help customers solve complex water challenges.”
